"We cannot fully enjoy our freedoms and liberties in America unless our government is limited. As our government grows and becomes more intrusive, it is our freedoms and liberties that become limited!" - John Wallace |

Welcome, my name is John Wallace and I believe that our individual Freedoms and Liberties, as well as our nation's sovereignty, are in danger because of the actions and inactions of our federal elected officials, both Republicans and Democrats. As I consider running as a Republican candidate for federal office in 2010, I want to share my thoughts and opinions with you. Although the Democratic party is equally responsible for the mess this country is in, if not more so, the 2008 election was a clear repudiation of the Republican administration's out of control spending policies, their failure to stop illegal immigration and control our borders, their out-of-control expansion of big government into our everyday lives, their active support of NAFTA and other treaties that hurt American workers, as well as their fraudulent financial bailout of the big banks and Wall Street firms that has pushed our country deeper into debt by trillions of dollars. The Republican leadership, particularly at the national level, has failed the American people. Registered Republicans in record numbers voted for Democratic candidates in the last election because they honestly believed that the Republican Party no longer represented their interests. The injuries the party suffered from the massive loss of Republican congressional and Senate seats in the 2008 election were mostly self-inflicted. The majority of registered Republicans wanted a conservative candidate for president, not a so-called maverick who was a moderate republican at best, and one who frequently voted with the liberal Democrats for bigger government programs. Don't get me wrong. I believe that John McCain is a good man who has served his country honorably for over 40 years and would have made a better president than Barack Obama, but John McCain is no conservative republican. The Republican Party leadership at the national level has proven time and time again that they are out of touch with Main Street America. If the Republican Party fails to get back to its conservative roots, uphold the constitutional principles it was founded upon and select more conservative candidates, it will become irrelevant and cease to exist as a viable party. The future of the Republican Party is now up to us. Whether you are a Reagan Republican, a Ron Paul Republican or just an average conservative republican, the party must be taken back from within. We must become active in the state, county and local party committees and make our views and opinions known. We must run for office at all levels of government and support those like-minded individuals who carry the Freedom, Liberty and Sovereignty banner for us. We need to actively participate in the process so that a renewed Republican Party will embrace a platform of having a smaller federal government, less taxation, returning control of our monetary system to congress (not private bankers in the Federal Reserve), preserving our individual freedoms and liberties, preserving the Bill of Rights and protecting our nation's borders and sovereignty. We must also demand that the party only support policies and legislation that are in the best interests of the American people and not those of big corporations, international banks or other special interest groups. I believe that the United States Constitution and the Bill Of Rights are the most powerful words ever written. Thousands of Patriots have, and will continue to die for the very thing that these documents represent. Freedom! The U.S. Constitution clearly outlines how our "government of the people" should operate, therefore, it is my position that our government must conduct our business in the same manner as the founding fathers had envisioned that statesmen should. Our country's Founders told us that Governments get their just powers from the consent of the governed and whenever the government becomes destructive of these ends, it is not only the people's Right, but it is their sacred Duty to change the government. That is Americans from all parts of the country, from all walks of life and from all political parties and views must unite to change the direction of our government. Most Americans know that our individual Freedoms, Liberties and our country's sovereignty are in mortal danger because of the political and social agendas, pandering, corruption and lack of basic common sense that exists at all levels of our federal government. The time has come for Americans to exert that citizen power again. Let's put aside all of our minor differences that have separated us and unite as one strong political force. We must be united by our major common goals and not divided by our minor differences. We must become active in politics and all levels of government and support only those candidates that are honest, ethical, of good moral character, who take no special interest money and who support smaller, less intrusive federal, state and local governments. Together, let us begin the journey that will leave future generations of Americans a legacy of individual freedom and liberty, a first class education system, a clean environment, a strong and sovereign America with an honest, limited government that will offer unlimited opportunities for their future. If we stand together, we can give it to them. For Freedom, Liberty and Sovereignty, John Wallace As I consider running for office in 2010, I think it is very important to let people know exactly what I stand for and that my views on the issues are my own deeply held views . Although you may not agree with my positions on all of the issues, I believe that you should know where I stand.
